The China Tourism Academy predicts that China's outbound tourism market would see a sustained and accelerated recovery throughout 2023. At the same time, domestic tourism is projected to reach 4.55 billion visits this year. In this Keynote, Mr. Dai Bin, President of China Tourism Academy, will explore how China's recovering outbound and domestic travel demand will alter tourism and how and why its impact will be felt around the world. Dai will delve into China’s tourism economy, examining its lessons ranging from a focus on domestic tourism and fostering niche markets such as urban leisure and rural tourism to the advancements in tourism infrastructure, digital innovation, and green initiatives. In doing so, Mr. Dai will showcase how trends in China are shaping the global tourism landscape.
