Azheke Village is located in the core area of the "Hani Rice Terraces" World Cultural Heritage in Honghe, Yunnan. Over the years, its economic development has encountered many challenges. Although Azheke has excellent natural and cultural resources, the village has been in poverty for a long time, causing most residents to choose to leave their hometowns for development. Under the leadership of Professor Bao Jigang, Sun Yat sen University in Guangzhou proposed the "Azheke Project" to promote sustainable development of villages through local tourism. This plan has also successfully lifted Azheke Village out of poverty, improved the lives of many villagers, and brought employment opportunities. In this session, Professor Bao Jigang will share how this unique plan changes the future of rural areas, inherits traditions, and revitalizes rural areas through investment.
